… and I have been at NDC 2011 this week, rediscovering how kick ass JavaScript is and that it is possible to develop MVC based web-solutions in C#, in a .NET framework from Microsoft called… wait for it… MVC.
“Hmm, we have a GUI on top of DOS which is using these window-thingies, lets call it Windows”. Moving on… “Hmm, there is this architecture type called MVC, lets make one to and we’ll call it… ehm… MVC?”. Similar to what Apple does I guess, only they put an i in front.
Seems like PHP will go bye bye from my life, at least between 08.00 and 16.00 every workday. So C# for all things Unity and server based, with sprinkles of JavaScript. In terms of JavaScript I have been shown Node.js… holy schmoly canoly that is some cool stuff, serverside Google’s V8 JavaScript engine.
Other than that… LScript, haven’t touched it in months, but I have a couple of things I would like to see made, but… time is always on the short side, especially when being on the move as well.
Back to the conference… time to see nørds battle it out in Rails vs .NET MVC
